Samosa
Prepare Ingredients
- 7 russet potatoes, wash, peel, and dice them raw ( or double boiler them), wash them after dicing
- 16 ounces peas and carrots frozen plus half pound of peas, boil water then put them in, and boil 10 minutes
- Sarano peppers, washed, dry and chop in machine
- Ginger root, wash, peel and dry and chop in machine
Instructions for Combining Everything
- Big pot, Mazola corn oil, heat on low
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- .25 teaspoon Asafoetida powder
- 1.5 heaping turmeric
- 1.5 heaping teaspoons of salt
- 3 heaping indian teaspoons of cashmire red pepper
- 3.5 heaping teaspoons of saranno pepper
- 2 heaping teaspoons of chopped ginger
- Cook until half soft a la dente (usually half hour)
- Lastly put in 1 heaping indian teaspoon garam masala
- Lastly indian teaspoon cinnamon
- Lastly .5 heaping indian teaspoon cloves
- Lastly 1 heaping indian teaspoon coriander powder
- Lastly .75 teaspoon cumin powder (toasted)
- Near end add 4 teaspoon sugar
- Near end add 2 tablespoon of lemon juice
- After lemon take off stove
- Add chopped onion 3 medium not cooked
- After tasting...
- Add 1 teaspoon salt
- Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Cooking Instructions
- 12 pack of trader Joe's flour tortillas
- Make paste with all purpose flour with cold tap water, pancake batter consistency
- Put most cloth in plastic bag with 8 triangles in microwave for 30 seconds, don't rewet towel every time.Only if needed
- Use paste to make pockets
- Heat oil on high then cook samosas on medium heat ( half inch deep). Slow boil.
- Keep uncooked samosas covered while waiting to cook.
